Do You Need a 3D Dvd Player to Enjoy the Full Cinematic Effects of a 3D Movie?

If you are into cinematic-enhanced movies, you might be wondering if you will need a 3D Dvd player to enjoy a 3D movie. Since most of the movies now are turning 3D, movie-goers are encouraged to watch them in the theaters! But, you might not need a Dvd player just to watch 3D movies. How is this possible? You just needed the right gadgets to help you enjoy the movie at home.

How does 3D work?

Panasonic Plasma Tv Problems

Traditionally it works by emitting light from the screen. This is best appreciated using red and blue glasses to maximize the effects. Accepted 3D movies work by using Sd or thorough Definition methods.

3D Technology Checklist

This product is 3D-related. To help you get a great 3D experience, use the checklist below to ensure you have everything you need. 3D viewing requires:

A Display
First, you'll need a 3D-ready display--whether it's a 3D HDTV, 3D projector, or 3D computer monitor. These displays have more processing power than standard 2D models for displaying 3D images in rapid succession.
A Source
Your display may be ready for 3D playback, but you'll still need a device to read 3D content. This can be a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3 system.
3D Content
3D content--the actual entertainment, in other words--will be played back using the source mentioned above, whether it's a 3D broadcast from your cable provider, a 3D Blu-ray Disc, or a 3D video game.
3D Glasses
For now, the vast majority of 3D HDTVs require glasses for 3D viewing. Many use powered "active shutter" glasses, others polarized "passive" glasses. You'll need one pair per viewer, and they'll have to be compatible with your display, whether they're the same brand, or a pair of "universal" glasses designed to work across brands.
HDMI Cable
To connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a high-speed HDMI cable. Cables with this designation feature bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second), for carrying the 3D signal without any loss of quality.

If you want to get more information about 3D, shop our 3D products, watch videos, or interact with other customers, we invite you to visit 3D 101, our customer center about everything 3D.

3D Picture Performance

See how 3D HD movies and sports come alive with depth and action that leap from the screen. Connect a Blu-ray 3D Player or other 3D device and enjoy an immersive experience (Samsung active 3D glasses required, sold separately). The processing can even be applied to broadcast TV, gaming content and legacy DVDs to automatically convert 2D viewing into 3D in real time. If you’re not in the 3D mood, you’re back to watching one of the best quality HDTVs on the market with the push of a button.

600Hz Subfield HD Motion

For TV shows and movies, 600Hz subfield motion technology renders even the fastest-moving scenes with the utmost clarity and precision, so that each detail is crystal-clear. 600Hz subfield motion is a measurement for comparing Plasma pixel response and screen refresh rates to that of LCD/LED displays.

1080p Full HD With Four HDMI Inputs

The PN64D8000 delivers Full HD 1080p resolution, for a superb level of detail and clarity in your picture. To connect your sources, four HDMI inputs are provided, for delivering a Full HD picture and audio over a single cable.

"Plus One" Design

Samsung's Plasma Plus One Design sets this TV apart, with a bigger picture and a narrower outer frame, for an extra inch of screen compared to similarly sized competitors' models.

Ultra-Fast Response Time

A fast .001ms response time optimizes fast motion video content. Because it can track fast-moving images without motion blur, plasma is ideal for watching action-packed sports or playing video games.

ConnectShare Movie

Connect a thumb drive or digital camera quickly and easily via the PN64D8000's USB port. An intuitive, user-friendly interface allows access to videos, music, or pictures via the remote.

Real Black Filter

Sometimes you can’t keep sunlight or house lights from shining right on your TV screen. With Real Black Filter, you can still get an amazing picture even with reflective light. It improves image contrast by surpassing the amount of external light that’s reflected. So daytime viewing is improved for a crystal-clear picture and dark detail is crisp and well-defined. Real Black Filter especially helps maintain a high contrast so even your nighttime viewing features rich blacks and realistic images.

Quality Sound

Get crisp, clear sound with 10 watts through two speakers and advanced SRS technology. SRS' TheaterSound, available in new Samsung HDTVs, is an all-in-one audio suite that directly addresses the three most common consumer TV audio complaints--inconsistent volume levels, unintelligible vocals, and poor, dimension-less sound.

ENERGY STAR Compliant

The PN64D8000 exceeds the strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the EPA and US Department of Energy.

Fast transmit to the present, 3D movies now uses stereoscopic filming. Movies like Avatar and My Bloody Valentine use Digital 3D that is more detailed than Accepted three dimensional movies.

You will appreciate a Digital 3D movie through High Definition Tv due to its clarity.

Is it required to watch 3D movies using a 3D Dvd player?

The reply is no. You can still watch 3D movies using your thorough Tv at home. Just get a pair of red and blue glasses and you are all set!

If you own a Hdtv or a 3D Dvd player, you get to enjoy a movie in 3D better. Instead of wearing colored glasses, 3D movies in Hdtv is best watched using clear glasses to make the scenes 'pop-out'. It gives good results and the pleasure might be closer to that in a cinema!

Here are some tricks to maximize your viewing pleasure:

* enhance the glow in your Tv. If you are using thorough television to watch a 3D animation, wearing those colored glasses might make the images dim. To avoid this, increase the glow to compensate the dark shades from your glasses. This might enhance the capability a bit.

* Switch off the lights: You get to feel the full cinematic effects by dimming the room. This enhances the images and projects other bright-colored scenery from the screen. It also lessens the double-vision, halo effects and improves the glow of the effects.

* Sit closer to the television: You will get a good view and focus if you sit in front -- not on the sides. If you must, you can sit a diminutive closer to appreciate the visuals.

So grab a good pair of red and blue glasses, pop-corn, some soda and enterprise and enjoy a three dimensional movie today!

Lcd Tv Myths That You Must Know

A Liquid Crystal Display or an Lcd is not purely positive. There is also a downside to it. However, there are things that other population say which are not true. So do not be shocked as each person is entitled to their own opinion. However, there are some myths that you must know.

1. Lcd is made of liquid. This is false. The Lcd is made up of crystals. The term liquid refers to the potential of the crystal. When electricity is passed through the crystals, they will react in standard manners which enable the yield of pictures on the screen.

Panasonic Plasma Tv Problems

2. Lcd lasts forever. Again, this is an additional one myth. Just like any other appliances, Lcd Tvs have their own lifespan, and wear and tear. The lifespan of Lcd Tvs ranges in the middle of 60,000 to 80,000 hours. Depending on your usage, your Lcd Tv may last to its maximum. If you are using your television whole day, it may last for about seven years. If you limit your Tv watching to 8 hours daily, it can last up to 20 years.

3. Lcd Tvs suffer burn-ins. The truth is, you do not have to worry about having burn-ins in your Lcd Tv. It is not potential at all because Lcd Tvs operate by blocking light. You can be sure to hold your display screen in the same condition when you first bought it.

4. You can only watch from one direction. This was a problem in the past. Nowadays, you can watch even from a very obtuse angle and yet get the same image quality. Poor Lcd Tvs may have this flaw but if you will purchase a good one, you will be sure to enjoy watching from many angles.
Be aware of the many misconceptions about Lcd Tvs. Do some study whether it is precisely true or not. This will guide you in choosing when you make your purchase.
